Independent Carrier Championship · Proposed scoring

Earn your spot at the top.

One leaderboard for owner-operators and small fleets. Your rank comes from the percentage of eligible loads that meet all three rules.

On-time tracking

Arrive within the agreed pickup and delivery windows. Start VIN-linked ELD tracking by pickup and keep it active through delivery. Document dock delays or appointment changes for review.

Confirm which truck hauled the load

Match the VIN in the ELD record to the truck approved for the load. If you switch trucks, document the handoff and get the replacement approved before it moves the trailer.

Confirm the truck is insured

Verify insurance for the truck hauling the load. If you switch trucks, verify coverage for the replacement before it takes over.

A load that misses a requirement earns zero points and still counts toward your season total.

Monthly recognition · Proposed awards

The name on the door is only half the story.

When a two-hour appointment turns into half a day at the dock, the driver is the one who sees the load through. These monthly honors put their name on the board, too.

Delivery Leader

Most verified completed deliveries in the driver’s category, backed by proof of delivery.

Miles of the Month

A spotlight on verified miles already driven during normal work. Mileage is a recognition category outside the championship score.

Driver Spotlight

Tell the story behind a tough delivery, a long dock wait, or the driver who stepped up to help another driver.

Membership and verification · In development

Built for independent carriers.

The proposed audience is owner-operators and small fleets. Leased-on drivers could participate in individual categories if their activity can be verified. For the pilot, carriers would report every eligible load and use exports from their existing ELD provider. NAICA would spot-check records against dispatch data and proofs of delivery. Mileage recognition would use existing ELD mileage summaries or approved alternative records. The pilot would use manual review and spot checks. Scoring would account for documented delays outside a driver’s control.

What brokers see when a truck changes

Broker tools can flag tracking gaps and inconsistencies between the approved truck and the vehicle showing movement. A VIN entered at booking is one piece of the record. Tie the VIN-linked ELD trip to the load and keep the pickup, trailer, and delivery records together.

Breakdown? Document the swap.

Contact the broker through a verified channel. Share the replacement truck’s VIN and confirm its coverage with your insurance agent. Get written approval before it moves the trailer, then confirm tracking follows the new truck. Keep the handoff time and location with the load record.
